WHY SHOULD
I STUDY TAEKWON-DO?
There are numerous reasons to study Taekwon-Do; for example,
Taekwon-Do will improve ones flexibility, strength, stamina,
and balance. Improvements in these areas will ultimately
improve your self-confidence and your ability to defend yourself
should that need arise.
WHAT IS
BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU?
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is basically a ground fighting
art that has taken the world by storm. First made popular
by UFC when it began, Royce Gracie dominated men two - three
times his size in the ring by using BJJ. Now, BJJ is found
all over the globe and is now introduced into Prattville.
CAN WOMEN
DO THIS?
YES! Taekwon-Do
and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an individual sport and anyone
that practices and gives 100% effort can be as successful.
Women are usually more flexible than men and this give
them an advantage.
WHAT IF
I'M NOT IN SHAPE?
That does not matter. Taekwon-Do
and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practiced correctly two times a week
will get you in excellent shape.
AM I TOO OLD?
You are never too old to start a martial art. I have taught people from 5 years to 75
years of age. Age may
limit some things you can do, but it will never prevent you
from learning.
WHAT IF
I'M NOT VERY FLEXIBLE?
That's okay. Every
class contains a segment of stretching, and if you do the
stretches everyday you will become more flexible.
DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF FITNESS SOUTH TO JOIN?
Not unless you want to. Some students choose to become members
and some do not. There
is no pressure to join. However,
if you wish to become a member, discounts are available to
TKD and FS members alike.
HOW OLD DO YOU
HAVE TO BE TO START?
Right
now we’re accepting students of ages 6 and above.
WHEN DO CLASSES
START?
New students
are added to the class all the time. All
you have to do is call the Fitness South or Mr. Meek and
set up a FREE introductory lesson. |
